How to adjust the browser zoom
Ce's user interface will look different depending on the size and resolution of the screen you are using. We recommend adjusting the zoom of the browser so that you can see two events before and three events after the in-focus event.
To adjust the zoom in the Chrome browser, click on the three dots at the top right of your window. Increase or decrease the zoom until you can see 2 events before and 3 events after the in-focus event.
How to adjust the text size in Ce6 events
After adjusting the zoom, if the event text is too small for you to read because you're working on a small screen, you can adjust the size of the event text without adjusting anything else.
Click on 'Event'.
You can adjust the size of the event text for both your language and template track.
Choose the track that you want to adjust and click on the '-' or '+' symbols.
Example:
Project in which the text size of both the language and template tracks increased to 200 %.
How to adjust the size of text in the Video
If the text appearing on your video is too small for you to read because you're working on a small screen, or if it is too large and prevents you from seeing other details you may need to assess such as concurrent OSTs, you can adjust the size of the text in the video without adjusting anything else.
Click on 'Video' and then use the '-' and '+' buttons next to 'Text Size In The Video' to adjust to your preference.
How to display the Timeline in full-width view
If you need to see a larger view of the waveform and timeline, pease follow the steps below.
Click on 'Settings' and hover over 'Display Preferences.'
Next, hover over 'Layout' -> 'Timeline' and click on 'Full Width View.'
The option selected by the user will be saved as a user preference so that when the user opens the Ce again, the timeline will be displayed covering the full width of the screen if that is the latest option the user has selected.
How to pop out the Video Player and Timeline
The Video Player can now be popped out into a separate window from the browser, which can be particularly useful when using a second screen.
To pop out the player, click on the specific 'Pop out video' icon in the top right corner of the Player header.
The player can be made full screen in this second window to better review the subtitles and still be able to edit the events without having to exit full-screen mode.
If the timeline full-width view is selected, the remaining timed text tracks should keep the width they had before popping out the video and be aligned to the left of the browser window, filling the space the video would normally occupy.
With the player popped out, the video can go into full-screen mode.
Full-screen mode can be exited using the full-screen button in the video or by using the corresponding shortcuts.
If the video is placed on another screen, we will be able to see the video in full-screen mode on one monitor and the main Ce window in the browser on the other monitor.
In this case, with the video in full-screen mode, we will see the event in focus and be able to edit the contents of the event without having to exit full-screen mode.
Closing the window the video popped out into will return the video to the main Ce window.
The Timeline can also be popped out by using the same icon in its header. This can be useful to recreate the type of view available in software such as SubEdit, where the video player and timeline were visible in separate windows than the actual text editor.
