In Complex Conforms, it’s common that you need to keep on off-setting a file as you go along, as doing it only once at the beginning might not be enough, e.g.: when you have a client-provided file that was a created in a different frame-rate, which is usually the case.
When you start encountering major timing differences and the timing becomes too difficult to work with (let’s say at subtitle 200), you need to:
- Go to Titles > Recut (offset) and a pop-up window will appear.
- In the first box, “Subtitles Range”, tick “By Number” and type the subtitle you want the apply the offset onwards from (e.g.: 200-1403)
- In the second box, tick “Reference point”, type subtitle “200” and the “New TC” (new timecode) you want this subtitle to appear.
- Press OK.
- And keep on doing this every time you need to do it.
