There are a couple reasons that you may not have received any work:
a) Pixelogic may not have any work available for your particular language. This is very common for languages in smaller markets.
b) Each linguist is graded by the system and work is allocated on a grade and availability priority system. So, if there are a large pool of linguists for your particular language who scored higher that might be another cause.
Example:
Linguist A scored 90% - 5 hours availability
Linguist B scored 95% - 5 hours availability
Linguist C scored 92% - 5 hours availability
There are 10 hours of work available.
Even though Linguist A is still an excellent linguist, the work would have been allocated to Linguists B & C.
c) It may be a simple matter of cost. Linguist A and B are equally good, but Linguist B has a cheaper rate. This ONLY applies if the quality is the same, Pixelogic will not choose a linguist whose quality is not high, just because they have a low rate.
Summary:
We appreciate your patience and as Pixelogic expands its offerings and work increases, there will be more opportunities for everyone.

Hello, My name is Eva Soderqvist, I have been a translator for Captions Inc since 1997, my language has been English to Swedish and still is. I used to translate every kind of feature film as well as TV-shows, documentaries and so forth. I haven't heard from you at all, and would simply like to introduce myself as well as declare my availability for future work. I will be happy to send you my Resumé should you want to see it.
Thanks from a snowy Sweden.
