Hello Tino, thanks for this. Is it possible to also add information on the Language Tag? -

If client requests to add a Language Tag, this should always be written in English, right after the Credit Translator (if any).

    Spanish Castilian

    Thanks.

Hello Tino, I am getting more and more Castilian SDH files to be created and no Castilian SDH guidelines so I am for now following the English SDH guidelines. Is it possible for you to create a PLM SDH style guide for Castilian? Thank you (so far no Apple SDH files to be created, only Universal and Sony).

Hello Tino - Comments on the guidelines for Castilian Spanish (and sorry for the delay in coming back to you on this, it was in my list forever and I just got some help so finally got this done!):

    - Dual Speakers - There are some clients (like Amazon) who specifically asks not to leave a space after the hyphen. Should we add the Amazon specs here or a line mentioning this exception since Amazon seem to become a bigger client for us? Or like we do with HBO, add a little section for Amazon? I am happy to double check Amazon's specs to see what else is different.

    - Names - EXAMPLES:

2 (nicknames): The Dude (Lebowski) = el Nota / Captain Hook = Capitán Garfio

    3 (historical / mythical characters): Odyssey = Odisea / Aristotle = Aristóteles / Noah = Noé / Athena = Atenea

    - Foreign dialogue -
3 - Some examples we could add for Spanish Castilian (foreign words that do not need italics in Castilian since they are very frequently used - normal usage - are -  iceberg, club, airbag)

    - Abbreviations -
4 -  ñ missing. Should read "señor", "señora", "señorita".

    - Acronyms -
3 - Missing  "á" . It should read "láser". (it's now written lser)

    24. Reference:
The Fundeu link is not working. Please use this one instead: https://www.fundeu.es/

If we could get all this amended, please. Thank you!

    All notes updated apart from:

Dual Speakers - There are some clients (like Amazon) who specifically asks not to leave a space after the hyphen. Should we add the Amazon specs here or a line mentioning this exception since Amazon seem to become a bigger client for us? Or like we do with HBO, add a little section for Amazon? I am happy to double check Amazon's specs to see what else is different.

We submitted our Style Guides to Amazon and are awaiting feedback so we're holding till they confirm what their final Style Guides will decide.

    Hello Tino - Secttion 22.-

PM just confirmed: Per Sony’s spec, there should be no VAM main title translations and translator credits.

Can this be updated in the specs, please?

    Thanks
